Homeland Security

"A newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report warns against the possibility of violence by unnamed "right-wing extremists" concerned about illegal immigration, increasing federal power, restrictions on firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats."

"The nine page document was sent to police and sheriff's departments across the United States on April 7." Homeland Security spokeswoman Sara Kuban said the report is one in an ongoing series of assessments by the department to "facilitate a greater understanding of the phenomenon of violent radicalization in the U.S. Since its inception in 2003, the Department has focused primarily on radicalization of Muslims and the prospect of homegrown Islamist terrorism."

It appears now that the government is becoming more inclusive in who they categorize as "enemies of the state." The "war on terror" (which has been officially retired) was instituted as a means to gradually shape the U.S. into a communist-style police state. The 'muslim threat' has been utilized as an ulterior stratagem to eventually encompass and criminalize non-Muslim American citizens as terrorist blocs; i.e., those who oppose the state's continual unfolding tyranny. As each year progresses the power of the state will inevitably increase, due to "terrorism" committed, desired or allowed by the state itself and then blamed on real or fictitious people, just like 9/11. They are now intending to incorporate wholesale, non-muslims into their 'terrorist' classification, for they are possibly aware their upcoming sociopolitical plans for America could encounter some "resistance" from "patriots" who are in violation of the "Patriot Act". Thus in theory at least, they can preempt any mass action or armed rebellion on the part of outraged protesters. (I doubt it, for how a nation addicted to alcohol, drugs, porn, TV, and sports can revolt should be explained).

"A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude." --Aldous Huxley

Their anti-terrorist and surveillance measures are not about "prevention" but about power. Once attained, it can only expand until all are sufficiently enslaved, according to the ideology of the plutocratic oligarchy which governs the western world.

"We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness; only power, pure power. The more the Party is powerful, the less it will be tolerant; the weaker the opposition, the tighter the despotism." --Orwell, 1984
