This film contains a quote by Eisenhower to the effect: "God bless this country when someone sits behind this desk who doesn't know as much about the military as I do."

In fact, no president since has known as much about the military as Eisenhower did when he warned, on his way out, about the unguarded power of the military-industrial complex. Two other parties to the complex were left out: The bankers and the politicians.
