Obama gives order to kill American citizen

"The Obama Administration has taken the unprecedented step of authorising the killing of a US citizen. The move to place Mr al-Awlaki, 38, on a hit list was taken after a White House review concluded this year that he had moved from inciting terrorist attacks to taking part in them. The decision is extraordinary not only because Mr al-Awlaki is believed to be the first American whose killing has been approved by a US President, but also because the Obama Administration chose to make the move public.

"Al-Awlaki is a proven threat," one US official said. "He's been targeted."

"The danger of al-Awlaki poses to this country is no longer confined to words," another US official said. "He's gotten involved in plots." In February Admiral Dennis Blair, Mr Obama's intelligence chief told Congress: "If we think direct action will involve killing an American, we get specific permission to do that."

This is nothing really new of course, since the US government has targeted Americans in the past for assassination, such as JFK, RFK, Malcolm X, MLK, George Lincoln Rockwell and other lesser known individuals they have deemed as "security threats" to their nefarious La Cosa Nostra type gangster state. But now its overt and publicly proclaimed in their mass media in the case of Anwar al-Awlaki--that is, if he's even real. Who knows, one day they may be publicizing your name as a "terrorist" to be whacked on their nightly news; since there is no end to the power and control trip these viral vermin are on.
